On the subject ofaffiliations, including JVs, that may be a useful path on which tofocus. Sabine mentioned MND in an earlier post on this thread. MND's affiliation with ZEM Energy has produced a spate of contract wins inthe renewable energy field, and there are other MND-based affiliations too. Ofcourse, NWH has its useful affiliation with Salini, so the concept ofworking with others is not novel.
When I recently posted thework required by RIO at West Angelas, it occurred to me that aNWH-plus-others JV could enhance the chances of all the JV members toget work, as opposed to each bidding interdependently. For instance,NWH has won work to build the concrete substructures of conveyorsystems, but it is not known as a builder of such systems. Dewateringand water infrastructure (see below) is probably something that couldbe optimally handled by a NWH-MND combination, and as future mines inthe Mara Mamba orebody are likely to require below-water-tablemining, we are going to see much more work of this type infuture.
The West Angelas Project includes:
• Rom pad;
• Newprimary crushing facility and discharge conveyor;
•Modifications to existing processing infrastructure;
• HVre-fuelling facility (including overland diesel pipeline);
•Secondary crushing facility upgrade;
• New surge bin facility;
•Overland conveyor to existing processing plant (approx. 10km);
•Power supply upgrades;
• Dewatering and water infrastructure;
•Gas pipeline realignment (approx. 10km);
• New non-processinfrastructure;
• Diversion drains and levees;• Heavy and lightvehicle road networks;
• Extending existingcommunications infrastructure; and
•Temporary construction accommodation.
Monday's “The Bull”gave NWH a positive rap – not that the snippet stated anythingenlightening.
“Solid management of this resourcescontracting company has been consistent in delivering onexpectations. Increasing company earnings in fiscal year 2018 maycontinue on the back of a long list of potential projects. The shareprice has been moving up, pushing through key levels on high volumebefore recently consolidating between $2 and $2.15. Watch for a pushabove this level on volume. The shares were trading at $2.165 onOctober 4.”
