FWIW, and as I’m sure we all know from experience, the market often doesn’t behave the way you expect on reporting day, and on subsequent days, based on the news presented. For that reason I always try to have some cash on standby. Typically we have good info that’s up to date and therefore IMO it’s often a good chance to buy a little into unwarranted pessimism or even to sell some on unfounded exuberance. Not to trade as such for me but just to adjust positions and makes me feel a lot better than screaming at the price chart!
