Splunk is a tremendous tool for mining data logs or telemetry. Its growth profile is amazing.
However Splunk sits in the BI/Reporting layer of the equation (ie tableau, sas, sap, salesforce and others mentioned).
Buddy is the infrastructure/architecture side of things so would partner greatly with these companies for synergistic win win parnerships.
FYI Buddy is listed on the Splunk website as a partner.
