Morning folks,
No mention of Bill's retirement in the conference call. Bill's retirement will be a HUGE hole to fill. The past success we have enjoyed, turning a deposit called Dikulushi that took 3 days just to get to, keep the company afloat during six years of civil war. And to cut a long story short, build a very profitable mine that enable the company to grow was incredible.
The construction of Kinsevere II is overall going quite well. Bill reminded everyone listening to the conference call that a sulphide resource intersection of 272m @3.72 % copper is below and oxide intersection of 85m @ 9.5% copper. He also mentioned again about the significant consolidation opportunities that exist in the DRC at the moment that Anvil will continue to investigate.
Anvil and its strategic partner Trafigura have a shared vision of building a leading copper producer in the DRC and it is Kinsevere that will provide the platform for us to do this.
I for one will forever be thankful to Bill Turner for his extraordinary leadership and management of our company.
All the best.
