    Hi JG.

Tell me please. What happens if one day you go out surfing or driving or some other activity and you're involved in an accident or God forbid, you have a stroke. You have no idea where you are or what has happened. Meanwhile, all the money you have is invested on the stock market in various "safe" companies. You've kept all your bank and computer passwords to yourself and you haven't locked-in any stop losses, then BANG! along comes a GFC. You've been in hospital all this time and then one week later you regain consciousness and manage to somehow, through all the cord's wires and tubes, reach for the phone and ring your broker. He's too busy for you, cause everything you've had your money in has gone south big time and he's lost everything he's had as well....
Mrs Mum has my passwords and is able to stop everything which doesn't have a stop-loss on it and she has my permission to do it as everything I do I do for the both of us. (It's her money too) So, can you see why I have had stop-losses? She know's that there isn't any conditional order on our EXS stock, so she know's to get out of it if something should happen to me. (It wont be while I'm surfing, that's for sure! LOL) Dipping-out on receiving a dividend isn't as important as some thing's, like life.
But hey, I respect your position and ideas on the benefits or not of having stop-losses. That's what life is all about... making decission's that suit the situation.

    Keep smiling JG...

    regards,

    MTW
