A few things to note about the Broncos in round 1 in order of importance (if the stats I'm looking at are correct):
Nikorima - basically a passenger in the team. 5 missed tackles, zero try assists and zero tries.
Milford - 3 missed tackles, zero try assists and zero tries.
The current halves combination for the Broncos at this point is NOT WORKING.
Boyd - 2 missed tackles. Just 4 tackles in the whole game. Do the maths on that one. One try assist, 110 running metres.
The forwards generally did very well. The halves have no-one to blame but themselves.
Some of the second rowers and lock could have made more metres, but the front rowers made up for them.
Bottom line for me is that the Broncos will not win a premiership while Boyd is playing full back. The halves need to fire like they did in the second half of last season and then some. At this point the Milford/Nikorima thing is not working.
