Focusing on Buy/Selling short term means what exactly?
It probably means different things to different people, Nasa.
Rules can always be broken but what I really want to see in the buy/sell data is some strategic buying from the big boys (e.g. Grigor, Cannacord, UBS, Baileu, Hartleys, Patos, investment houses etc) who move the market and generally know more about the company behind the scenes than retail punters . So when I see all the buying from ComSec - Australia's largest retail trading platform - I tend to be cautious. I've seen it too many times: stocks go for a run, they quickly retreat and then you see the broker data and it's all retail buying and stockbrokers selling. Stockbrokers are masters at fleecing retail investors and I guess that's what I'm on the lookout for.
But look, to your credit, you've been consistent in your view that you're interested only in the end game, long-term etc, so from that perspective, you'd be just as well to not even look at the share price more than once or twice a week. For me though, MRF isn't yet a strategic, LT investment, so I'm open to selling the rallies and moving in and out of the stock. For now.
