Snap, penny drop, was just rereading this thread and just twigged to what was written.

"Patchawarra has been completed/fracked successfully "

What? are we not just only testing the 400metre thick REM section. Now where test the patchawara, check the gamma chart on slide 12, does it get any better and its fracced as well.

So how thick is the shale section were chasing here, could it be 100's of metres more thick than already disclosed.

    --------------------------------------------------------

"The REM section as well as the tight sands of the
Daralingie and Patchawarra (outside structural closure) are interpreted to be gas saturated. At
Encounter-1, the sandstones of the Toolachee formation (also outside structural closure) have been
interpreted as gas saturated and as a result will also be evaluated at Holdfast-1. These tight sands
outside of sturctural closure potentially add to the resource in PEL 218."

    Got this from here

Its looking like were going to need a whole new technology to get this thing into production, seriously how thick of a section can a horizontal well drain, were going need some sort of stacked lateral well to get the most out of this resources.

Just imagine if they did drill something like that, far from being a marginal resource we could be the envy of shale gas producers around the world.
