At a touch over $12 today I purchased my first shares in Brickworks and put it straight into my core holdings list. I think the current price is fair value and the shareholding in WHSP makes Brickworks a worthy investment. Not looking to shoot the lights out with this one just happy to pick up a decent annual return. Really looking forward to the next few years as new suburbs emerge and are built in Victoria and around Australia and bricks will probably be the primary material for most of these houses. Another big trend just going around the suburbs is the knock down and rebuild sector, most of these houses are using bricks from what I can see and Brickworks have some of the best brands going around in Daniel Robertson, Bowral Bricks and Austral Bricks.
