The point though is that it WASN'T unknown. We knew what the worst case outcome was (total loss) and you could price the company accordingly even before the negotiations were finalised. And the worst did happen but the price went up which tells me this is not driven by buyers who are "rational". Otherwise they just walked away from money on the table (if in fact they believe they are getting value today).
