but the question remains was it simply a few hotcopperites driving the price up on very small volume therefore giving the impression that something is happening or is something happening and someone with a little bit of spare cash overheard something. :-P

cynical yes, very cynical in fact but unless some info comes out I'm not sure why on Friday this actualy moved up as dramatic as it did.
