Oakeyflat, MM and all,
I hope those dates do have a smidgen of accuracy about them otherwise they may need to pass around the hat once again and maybe increase the loan interest rate once more.
I originally thought that the idea of having Indonesian nationals on board was to smooth things out and avoid long protracted problems such as the one long suffering shareholders are having to endure. Clearly I have been mistaken in this thought.
If the safety issues are resolved, the forestry department are happy with the road and the up-grades are complete I can’t see the advantage to any particular group in delaying mining any longer. Whist the delays are something of an inconvenience for investors I dare say the local mining staff would be feeling the pinch by now and would wish to be earning wages along with all the other advantages the mine brings to the local area. I guess in essence this is a practical guide to what we commonly call sovereign risk!
However, I guess we can do little more than wait patiently to see if our miner will one day resume production and as we enjoy our long weekend I offer a couple of general Gold items that may be of interest:
Maybe if it really is a case of Money for nothing and debts for free we should all consider our unsur-ance policies.

I wonder if anyone can tell me why the German politicians sitting on the opposite benches to Angela and the gang aren’t waving large copies of the graph shown in this article and asking why is it going to take seven years to repatriate their Gold from the USA. All I can think of is incompetence, bought off or a total lack of intestinal fortitude / orchestra stalls! Thoughts anyone?

People keep telling me that investing in Gold and Gold miners is only a very small percentage of the overall investment market and I guess this is borne out to some extent by that old saying that: “if investing in Gold was easy then everyone would be doing it.”
Cheers and very best regards: Andy
