As an ideas generation strategy, I would suggest polling financial advisers about what stocks they recommend you steer clear of, would be a highly effective strategy. I'm fairly certain this would yield a nice shortlist of stocks for further study, and that it is highly likely to deliver many attractive investments.
It's advice that might even be worth paying for. Or, I wonder if we could get the ABS to conduct that poll...
