Im only 19 and still within my first year of trading, i have learnt so much but the most important thing is as you said it is all about timing.

The other thing is patience, i could have easily sold out for a 50% lost on DVI and large losses on other holdings but i stuck with them and now i am reaping the rewards.

Still much more to learn, only reason i asked about fair value because i have been burnt before when i didnt sell after a large rise and all my gains got wiped out. But as you said i think DVI is still probably undervalued for what it has
