I doubt Fishers because they don't outperform the index, which is what they're paid to do. If their gains aren't superior, it follows that they are something less than average, notwithstanding their "good reputation". The mantra "don't believe the hype" is fitting. Chart their funds against the index and you'll see ...
All those statements about BVA's prospective performance may be true. But for me it's not about believing the story, it's believing the story having analysed the facts and determined the likelihood of it all coming to fruition coupled with the market agreeing. I agree BVA may be a winner. It may not. They may make heaps of money or they may not. I will need something more than the annual report (from which you'll based your points) to go off.
Currently the market is saying that you're reading it wrong. Presumably, you must, therefore, be either smarter than the market or have an information advantage.
