no worries - hope it works out well for you! Even if this deal goes ahead, I think there are and certainly will be much better chances over the next 12 months. Just don't sell the good ones too early because there will be a solid bounce sometime this year. As long as they are good companies with GOOD balance sheets and have weathered previous recessions, you'll do well.

Finally, never be bummed about not hitting the EXACT top, especially if it is safer to make a quick buck and then a quick exit. I bought RIO at 68 and 72 and sold at 74 I think it got up to about 80. If I had waited though, i could have had burnt fingers. M & A's in times like these, are safer if you can get in and out REALLY quick.
