My remarks were not directed to the assertions you were making, or a comment on their legitimacy or veracity.  I was merely highlighting that they are your views and we should just leave it alone if we disagree, not invite, request or demand verification of what is essentially an opinion. If you have taken offence to my remarks, I apologise. They were not directed at you. Some herein seem to want to control the narrative by repeating again and again that which only needs to be said once.

However, to answer your question, no, I can't link you to anything. My OPINION is that they'd be mad not to keep looking for more gold, when they thought it strategic and appropriate to do so.
