If you think the Botswanan economy is struggling I’d perhaps look to the UK, its deficit and the state of the economy there, or should we list more comparables?
In contrast Botswana is extremely stable, recently awarded Moody’s A2 rating (again) the exonomy is also actively looking to diversify from Diamond export into its second largest sector, Tourism. Couple that with power export (as per Bloomberg note) and I again consider Tlou to be in a prime position to supply indigenous gas for export and also localised cost reduction as mentioned in crummets post above.
