Directors are usually in for the long haul and don't watch weekly movements.
In the case of EOS it was the Directors that agreed to the placement price of $2.30 knowing:
1) That on announcement the sp will fall and
2) That some of the brokers clients taking up stock would be selling sooner rather than later to take a profit.
