Just read this, and I think it strengthens what I said in this post.

VA or Harris need to get the deal done, either i.) Offtake or finance wise or ii.) ensure PFS released on time with a decision to mine.  The environmental approvals need also to be established so that a mining decision and timeline to first production can be established when the PFS is released (and AVL should ensure it meets that December timeline for the PFS).   Market confidence I believe is taking a hit at this stage and the only way to address that is give the roadmap to production with timelines etc and meet those timelines.

The article has a lot of commentary from VA.  It is obvious the existing producers cannot ramp up to meet the shortfall in the 2020s, but the market is hedging its bet on which of the juniors will make it (because not all will make it).   I put my money on AVL and TMT, but with the price of vanadium where it is and project economics likely to be sound, get the PFS done and deals done (i.e. that is what the market is saying IMO).

For avoidance of doubt, those companies in production are the ones that will experience SP growth, so AVL needs to get to production, meaning the endless comparisons to Largo can only be made IMO when AVL decide to mine (because as an exploration play value is only unlocked in production IMO or on the road to production where the market can price in mining is a given, which you do in the construction stage).  At the moment IMO, until we get the Offtakes and funding, the market will continue to treat AVL as a high risk high reward  exploration play.  The fact prices are high for vanadium, and payback periods will be excellent for first movers, that roadmap should be expedited IMO and AVL just need to focus on serving the steel market (batteries are what you do later).
