Ok, so I went to the NHS website, www.nhs.uk  and searched 'neurofeedback' and the following came up:

Treatments not recommended

A number of alternative treatments have been suggested for ASD. However, these should be avoided, because there's little or no evidence (my highlighting) that they're effective and some may even be potentially dangerous.
Treatments that aren't recommended for ASD include:
neurofeedback – where brain activity is monitored (usually by placing electrodes on the head) and the person being treated can see their brain activity on a screen and is taught how to change it

From that, all I can glean is that currently there is little or no evidence for NTI's (potentially) groundbreaking treatment. However the testing that NTI is doing is (if successful) providing evidence to change peoples opinions, ie being disruptive to current understandings and autism treatment methods.

The jury is still out, but I am hoping this will be groundbreaking for autism sufferers and NTI shareholders.
