Maybe there is an opportunity to get a grant or tax relaxation on both to keep it running. From memory the Borax business was mostly strategic for Government requirements at some stage but cant remember what exactly for.
Definitely remember it being raised that the business was only ever expected to breakeven/make small profit and held for strategic or legislative reason.
