The largest operator in Australia's $A1 billion crane-hire market is Boom Logistics. It listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 2003 and since then has aggressively pursued a policy of industry consolidation. The stock, issued at $A0.80, is trading at close to $A2.20 in June 2005. The shares are well priced, says Ben Griffiths of Eley Griffiths Group, trading at about 16 times 2006 earnings, and the outlook for future earnings is positive. His views are shared by ABN Amro, which has a "buy" recommendation on the stock
