Was wondering how quickly this would be posted - was expecting to hear a told-you-so from Croassian.
Which ignores the point that management turned down (near) certainty of $7.00 for the possibility of reaching the same mark in good time.
A good outcome doesn't mean it was a good decision at the time to reject the bid, but that will be too subtle for many.

Good though to see the re-rating. Having moved on from the bid, management are doing a good job in the areas that they can manage.

Could not agree more with your comments.

Looking at the financials, it is clear why they would not up their bid from the $6.80 they offered and walked away. Don't forget, if they had forked out $6.8 per share, they would not have been in a position to make the Quadrant purchase. Because of the massive capital raising that Santos made, we are in that position - and we need it.
