If anyone has seen the effects of wind erosion on rocks and they will understand what kind of consistent and inexorable energy can be provided by the wind.
Wind in latitudes between the tropics and the polar region is the vector resultant of the drag effect from the relative motion of the earth rotating under a layer of air (Coriolis effect) and the high to low pressure gradients between air masses. (meteorology 101)
Occasionally there is a quieting of wind  in the centre of a high pressure system but this is transient and local and would not effect all the wind (so there will be wind somewhere else). The doldrums some may have heard of occur around the equator +/- 5 degrees.
I learnt meteorology facts above from one of the senior Bureau meteorologists during my aviation studies so the source is reputable.

The Infigen turbines operate across a range of wind velocities and geographic locations so I think that my statements about the wind blowing and the generation are reasonable in that context. In my opinion, it is also reasonable to say that the generation keeps chipping away a the the cost of capital for wind farms.

I noticed a typo in the first line of my previous post, so I apologize if that threw the unwary reader. Hopefully the additional information in this post does not make anyone feel dumber.
