While you're right I question any buying, but it's more than that.
If you thought you were going win would you go to the takeover panel, particularly with such a weak submission? They didn't take long to kick it out, and it was designed to not have to go to a vote.
Would you hit the phones to shore up votes if you thought you had it in the bag (agree with all commentary that this is a complete waste of shareholder's funds)?
