surely this thread was placed as a stirring pot.

no one with a right mind would consider the blues any chance at present.

st kilda look the goods - have since round 2. consistent top liners everywhere but more importantly, have someone who CAN COACH - my anti thomas rant can wait til after the GF.

geelong, while still very strong, will suffer thru injuries, tho the experience gained by the lesser lights will help next year (their last chance IMO).

collingwood - yet again a good team of tryers, but will come up short. be thereabouts for a few years yet. only other GF chance.

footscray - very skilled at the high speed game, but too one dimensional and no game breakers - prelim for sure, but thats it.

adelaide & brisbane - chance at home, but the later finals arent played there this year, so..........

carlton - only mentioned cos its the thread title.
judd - nuff said. gibbs - not convinced yet.
murphy, kreuzer & walker are there future stars - repeat future. the rest make up the numbers - typical assortment of tryers.

st kilda are certainties - you cant play that well for that long, have a full list and lose. wont happen.

saints are home.
