Very much like the thought of walking away with a unit if the shipping were free. Think about us poor buggers out in the rest of the world who believed in the tech (but not the promisses... never that naive) that could have pulled it through.
Seriously though, as mentioned by other commentators, the turnaround was begining to show with legislation begining to kick-in, pretty sure the rest would have been almost according to plan.
THE TECH IS SOUND.
Management buy out, China, super rich parachute jump, share holder bailouts, all not likely to be an option at the level of screw up by the sales programme... seriously again, who outside of us with an ounce of interest in the planet actually heard of CFCL and what they produced/could offer? small scale could have worked especially with feed-in tarrifs and subsidy at Gov. level.
I know, the word EXPENSIVE keeps screaming out of these threads but what was offerd here in the UK (remember we don't get sun here...) was at last, just, making it competative and worthy especially with the improved stack longevity.
As for the big boys, if the likes of EON, Bruns etc.etc.. were actually interested in the future rather than the quick buck, they would have invested much more heavilly in this product, rather than being solely interested in how much they could squeeze out of Gov. incentives ( as indicated by the only real interest once those incentives materialised).
