Climate policy is on the agenda this federal election, with both Labor and the Liberals introducing measures that could have drastic impacts on the hip pockets of ordinary Australians. We now know just how severe the implications of Labor’s anti-coal crusade will be, as it is set to destroy jobs and ensure that blackouts become a regular feature of our lives by dismantling our reliable and efficient electricity system.Renowned Australian economist and climate policy advisor, Dr Brian Fisher, has taken time to do a little research into how Labor's policy will affect the economy. One of the things it will do is destroy 330,000 jobs. It will also lower average wages by thousands of dollars a year. Their secret carbon tax will hit Australian industries across the board - from our farmers to our tradies, and manufacturers. No one will go unharmed by this disastrous policy. It is just a question of who will be hurt most. The Australian Energy Market Operator has already forecasted a 1-in-3 chance of severe energy shortages during peak summer demand. We cannot allow Bill Shorten and the Labor Party to jeopardise our energy supply any further. We need your help to spread the message and fight back against this outrageous attack on our way of life. Australia produces a minuscule 1.3% of global carbon emissions. Yet ordinary Australians are expected to endure blackouts in the peak of summer, hundreds of thousands of job losses and economic chaos.

When we had a carbon tax under Gillard I didn’t notice a job loses. I remember when Abbott said abolishing the carbon tax will lead to lower power bills. Sadly it has never happened and power bills just keep increasing. I think Abbott should collect his Pinocchio award
