Last year I opened trusts for my kids, and using savings in their bank account they bought NEA shares. Their current return is 40% in six months at today's price (beating the 2% 'high' interest savings account rate. Although, because of the crazy tax rules for children (66% tax rate for capital gains over $416), so there's no point in selling, regardless of the drop. They'll hold until they're eligible to take them on themselves... in about 10 years, which I'm sure the NEA share price will be much higher by then.
