Another great post, cheers wing it! I like it when you put it so succinctly as I've grown bored explaining to people why FTA media isn't going to disappear and you do a better job of it anyway.

Sport is the number 1 for me.
2. Regional areas love their local news and are slower adopters of Newer technologies.
3. Stan is competing against Netflix and minimising their disruption imo.
4. Seven/ten and nine have worked out that content is paramount and local jobs/future arts industry will always win over foreign content. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything from Pauline about this. Perhaps some lobbying would be sensible here. Government subsidies?
5. Media companies have actually recorded advertising revenues actually improving. I think the idea that online advertising is effective is diminishing. Haven't YouTube said that they're also going to get rid of those adds before clips. Tbh they're f*ing annoying and are more likely to annoy. With FTA advertising people are used to it. That's why people get streaming is to get away from adds..

Anyway just some extra food for thought while I'm waiting forever for my ticket number at the service centre on the mob..
