I think these guys were picturing vaults full of gold bars before they had even planned how they were going to do it. Went out and spent all their/our money buying old projects no one else wanted probably for good reasons. Matthew Gill was probably the only one amongst them with any knowledge of gold mining and bailed when he realised he was sailing with a ship of fools.
