"Agreement has been reached on the off-market acquisition of a property portfolio from the Seymour Group, which has been the subject of negotiation since last year.
The portfolio contains some of the most outstanding and high profile property developments across Queensland as follows:
Upmarket apartments sites at Airlie Beach
Retail site at Pandanus Drive, Cannonvale
Retail site at Coolum Beach Shopping Centre (Cnr Beach Road)
Commercial property at Kingsford Smith Drive, Brisbane
     Waterfront residential, Hervey Bay
     Acreage subdivision, Hervey Bay
     Fishermans Wharf Marina, Hervey Bay
Mixed use property on the Esplanade, Hervey Bay"

This will allow Watpac to continue the growth of its property division in the long run. The building of these developments will be in addition to the contract orders in place already.
Hervey Bay is seeing hugh growth in population and in building development. Land values, especially near the water, continue to rise. This suggests that the buy will be a wise investment from a capital viewpoint let alone the developement and management potental.
This company is well managed and is a fantastic story known to queenslanders for a long time and it seems it is now starting to be appreciated south of the Tweed.
    Go you good thing!
