A couple of interesting facts worth repeating are that on average Tesla batteries only degrade by 10% after 240,000km in the real world. That is outstanding! The other is that li-ion batteries are best kept in the 30 - 80% charge range for maximum life. That implies that even that small degradation over such a long time can be reduced if the maximum charge is only used for longer trips.
