I have seen beautiful tree trunks - gnarled old figs in winter immediately come to mind.
looks don't last but hopefully the brain just gets better

nothing wrong with being different

gran was eccentric (didn't know that term when I was 8)
spoke briefly about her on another thread
she was a clever business woman and was negotiating a property deal
told me how she could act dumb at times and told me how I would have to learn to read upside down that I'd be tall like my dad
mum continually reminded her of how old I was because she wanted to teach me about business
you could hear her coming because she was practical and used our old cane pram whenever she bought her big books around to show me things about mainly animals it was easier than carrying anything
seemed there was one wheel that always squeaked
wish I got to know her better but we moved from Sydney to Melbourne
