If they can get more sophisticated investors and (eg) investment banks and VC investors this would push the share price up a fair bit, then they would hold out till the end. This would mean a lot less shares left over for traders, although the traders will always be there. 
As only an (eg) if say the share price was say 35 cents instead of 7 cents, and they were trying to negotiate a one dollar buy out it would make things a lot easier to get the dollar buy out if the share price was 35 cents instead of 7 cents, so for these reasons 4ds needs to be getting more of those big backers on board. JD and co will be doing there best to get the highest price for the technology, at least we have a very good management team on the same page as all shareholders, so we all can prosper. Unlike some others on the asx.
