    UPDATE 3.06pm: BHP Billiton expects Chinese demand for seaborne iron ore demand to rise strongly in the next 15 years.

    Iron ore demand should rise from about 800 million tonnes (Mt) in 2009 to 1,800 Mt by 2025, BHP Billiton head of iron ore Ian Ashby told delegates at the annual Diggers and Dealers conference in Kalgoorlie.
