Tend to agree, mjp2, though, I always pay attention to FRB, as he's usually not far off the mark with the miners over the years.
I think the market often overlooks sound projects because they're not in sexy sectors. I'm not bullish graphite at all - it's got terrible s&d - but I'm still bullish the guy who can sell his apples for a decent profit, even if there's lots of other guys selling apples.
I just see SVM as a low cost producer, targeting (initially) a more traditional market (as opposed to anodes) where their product will suffice, and they will be profitable if prices remain weak or even fall. Opportunity cost is definitely a risk to consider though, as it permitting.
