I don't think there has been many goldies that at one stage haven't been a big wealth destruction play for some depending when you have brought in. Look at SBM, MOY, DEG and AMI (15 year charts) at one stage all of these these were in the cents mark after being well north of $1.00 that BLK was. all have had wealth destructive capital raises also at one stage if not various. ( so what's your point??)
Depends on the timing at the end of the day and what horizon your looking at when assessing an investment. BLK are now a producer which is the main reason they encountered some initial difficulties and my belief is they are achieving a turnaround now and have a better grasp and understanding on mine sequencing and production. Have to start somewhere I guess.
At the end of the day none of us should be suggesting a buy recommendation anyway as people need to do their own research.

If BLK start making money it's a different story, they have been over promising and under delivering since day 1
