I sat an ran the numbers on all four and ended buying a fair few NAB when it was bottoming out a few weeks ago. I have to say that one of the things that influenced my thinking wasn't just the current low price, but also the lost decades with all the stuff ups that have meant under performance against its competitors.
It reminded of what Buffett and Munger were saying about Wells Fargo and its potential in the future, following on from their very poor behaviour with customer accounts and general lack of ethical behaviour. This view presented even with the regulator has clipped their wings in terms of balance sheet growth.
