It seems to be a tactic, using the media, to attract new buyers, while others may be offloading their CHM shares, before the case commences (or before a settlement is reached).
In any case, even if CHM receive a settlement, or a cash "windfall", the percentage they would need to pay to the litigation funder has not been disclosed. I think if the conditions had been favourable to CHM holders, then the information would have been released to the market, thus encouraging new buyers. Instead, the company are not disclosing it. I'd recommend doing further research before treating this as a high risk-high reward play, because although it is high risk, the reward (if any) is unknown.
