I am not ure I fullyunderstand the significance of the 3d sismic data due to be ‘accepted’ in a fewweeks. Could a few of the more technically informed and industry savy on this site offer an explanation of the significance of the following (from the MAY update end of ’18):
“Melbana, Total and Santos also agreed tolock in a firm backstop date for acceptance
of the seismic data totrigger the start of the 6 month window for exercise of their option. A finaldata set is due to be received by early February 2019. “
My interpretation is as follows:
I am assuming that means that the 3D sismic data has not been officially received from the survey company at this stage??
And further, I am assuming that Total and Santos has seen preliminary results of this data and that triggered to bringing forth of preparations for 2020 drill??
If this is the case, then we should have reason to be optimistic that the sismic data will confirm a pretty promising prospect??
