I'm with you - gone down so far now that there's no use selling. Just have to wait years to get my capital back, on what was supposed to be a defensive stock.
I wouldn't get too excited about the ATO revenue. I'm pretty sure that was hyped too - if memory serves me correctly CLH is one of a number of debt collectors, not the sole one, and after deducting expenses from their revenue there, it may only be a few million a year. Could be wrong on that, but don't think so.
The total paid by ATO to external collection agencies in 2011 was about $15 million. Even if that doubled to about 30 million now, you'd still have to split it between about 5 companies and deduct expenses. So I'm guessing maybe $2-3 million profit or less.
