GOVT HAVE NOT ADVANCED ANY VALID REASONS FOR CLOSING BCL

Selebi Phikwe West MP, Dithapelo Keorapetse, says while indications are that the BCL group will be put into final liquidation, the government has still not advanced any valid reasons for closing the company.
Keorapetse says the latest developments whereby negotiations are ongoing for BCL assets to be taken over by a Dubai-based company, show that government did not tell the truth when it said BCL operations were no longer viable.
Some of the reasons cited were low grade and deep shafts which had become expensive to run.
