    As I have experienced over the years, shorting the indexes is generally not worth the effort unless a short-term trend following plan is in place.


    The 1-hour 9/21 period chart is still up for both the XAO and S&P 500. So traders should stay long until the trend changes.


    Disclosure: recently stopped out of BBUS and BBOZ.
