Not that it matters but apparently got off on the basis that it happened in the course of play.Dont know exactly what that means but I take it it probably had something to do with getting better position on the other player.Looked like a little nice stiff arm jab to the midrif to me.I'd say the tribunal probably had in the backs of their minds the possible significance of no Bazza there on the day.
Considering the fitness levels of these guys and the physical jockeying that these guys do to gain field position I think the tribunal got it right in this case and wrong in the others.If they want to turn it into a soft game then keep jumping on these guys for a bit of physicality.It happens regularly and it cant be possible to pick up every little infringement of this level so why bother reporting it these so called infringements in the first place.
