Looking at the topography it looks like the China "pit" was previously a hill/mountain that the old-timers flattened. Can this happen nowdays in Myanmar? Similar question with Yegon, can the overburden be just pushed into the valley below on the western side? Pretty bad practice I know but it doesn't look like inhabitable terrain so maybe developing world practices are allowed. Looks a pretty interesting story for someone new to this and the history of high grade mining gives exciting exploration upside. Amazing what you find when you're pointed in the right direction.
