funny listening to talk back radio on this topic last week
everyone is acting as though it was an overnight decision by BHP / Rio to increase production..
in reality, those business decisions were made years ago when the expansion plans were announced (and approved by the WA Govt).. both companies have spent billions on the infrastructure - no way in the world are they going to wind back production and have the nice new equipment sit there gathering dust.. good luck trying to explain that to shareholders
