62Strat, I just wanted to make sure you've worked out the thread view, and how the pages are working on busy threads?
If not, you can put a post in feedback and we can explain better, but I'l ladd it here, as others may well be not sure how it's working.

If you ARE viewing in thread view, you'll be able to click NDO any time to see if there's blue dots in front of any of the thread,s meaning unread posts are in that thread. When you click the thread title, you'll then be taken to the first unread post.

The gap you spoke about was a post at the end of one page, and you have to check for mrre posts, and click 'next' to keep going.
