It's always amusing to hear deniers cite the Y2K bug as a lot of panic about nothing.
Here's what happened. Experts said the millenium bug was going to be a problem, a big problem.
So, somewhere around 300 to 500 BILLION DOLLARS was spent to thwart this impending threat. When the clocks ticked over, not much happened. Then, all manner of armchair experts started saying the Y2K bug was fiction, failing to recognise that the world had responded to the threat and neutralised it with a massive global action.
Fast forward to today. Experts are telling us about something much worse than computer bugs, and a lot of tiny minds go into denial because they can't process what's happening and have decided that experts don't know what they're talking about.
